Then came the brick wall that was Inferno, so I switched to full-time Demon Hunter just as Elemental Arrow – Nether Tentacles received its change/nerf. I rolled a Barbarian and it was my first class to hit 60. However, I promised my friends I would play my DH with them and, since I had a lot of free time near launch where they didn’t, I had to find another class to play when waiting for them. I had both a Bowazon and a Javazon in Diablo II days, so I naturally gravitated towards D3’s offering of the bow class. When Diablo III first came out, my favorite class before I ever touched the game was the Demon Hunter.
Let’s have a quick Leviathan History Lesson. This is truly hard to write because my heart has been stolen after the release of Reaper of Souls. The Monk’s almost unlimited options makes him a great target for gimmick builds and theorycrafting., and if you know anything about me you will understand why the Monk is easily my favorite class. Just look at the Pull Monk, the Boss-Killer Monk, the Full Support Monk, you could even do a Furnace variant. Monks have decent mobility skills, can buff the entire party, debuff your enemies, heal your allies, shield your friends, pull the monsters in close, and can also deal quite a bit of damage. The first thing I noticed and loved about the Monk, was his versatility. Some of us had changed our minds over the years, while some were more dead set in their ways.ĭefinately the Monk, I think the Monk might have been my first Diablo 3 character and I’ve liked him a lot ever since.
